The Vantage is the next model in Empire Ear’s X Series hybrid IEM line-up after the Bravado. As a model tuned for enhanced bass, the Vantage showcases all of U.S. Based Empire Ear’s unique attention to detail. Every Empire Ears IEM incorporates their SynX Crossover technology, which employs complex multi-way crossovers to divide frequencies between drivers, allowing for precise tuning and minimal phase distortion. Empire Ears also coats the internal parts of their earphones with a unique Anti-Resonance Compound that increases mass damping on the driver units and decreases resonances. These technologies allow for a cleaner, more precise sound.
The Vantage in particular was designed for a strong bass response, taking the Bravado’s driver configuration (1 W9 Subwoofer & 1 mid-high balanced armature) and adding an additional W9 Subwoofer. This twin subwoofer configuration delivers tremendous bass impact, that manages to maintain control in the low frequencies. High frequencies are somewhat rolled-off in the Vantage. If you prefer less bass, but you want more high frequency energy, consider stepping up to the Nemesis, or for a more balanced and accurate sound, the ESR.
Empire Ears Universal IEMs come with high quality, 2-pin double braided cables from the famed Singapore-based Effect Audio, as well as high quality silicone ear-tips from the Japanese company Final Audio. Despite the amount of technology packed into each unit, Empire Ears IEMS are lightweight and comfortable. The ESR is also available from Mindisc as a custom model matched to your ears and design preferences.
