The R5 Saber weighs only 160g with a 4″ thin bezel display, and yet it delivers up to 1040mW from its 44mm balanced output. As a result, the R5 Saber is capable of driving even insensitive full sized headphones with authority. This power doesn’t come at the expense of battery life, with up to 18 hours (3.5mm Single Ended) and 11 hours (4.4mm Balanced) playback time.

The Versatility of Android, with Bit-Perfect Playback

The R5 Saber runs a version of Android OS customised by Hiby for maximum sound quality. Unique to Hiby is their Direct Transport Architecture, which allows a systemwide bypass of Android’s native sample rate conversion. This allows for bit-perfect playback of high resolution audio from any audio app – a rarity among Android based players. Along with support for 8x MQA decoding, and you will be assured of the highest quality music playback whether you are playing your offline library or using streaming apps such as Tidal, Qobuz or Roon.
