The Shure SE425 is a noise isolating, in-ear monitor, based on 2 high definition balanced armature drivers. The S425 is designed as a stage monitor for professional musicians, and offers extremely strong passive noise isolation with a discreet and comfortable fit. The SE425 is bundled with a host of foam and silicone eartips to provide the perfect fit. Also included is a carrying pouch, so that earphones can be safely tucked away when not in use. There are two versions of the SE425, details are below:
-
SE425 Clear: Clear housing on the SE425, bundled with clear detachable 165cm cable.
-
SE425 Silver: Silver shiny housing on the SE425, bundled with Shure’s detachable bluetooth cable as well as a black detachable 120cm cable which contains a universal remote that works with both Android and iOS, and also contains a microphone for calling.
The SE425 can be described as having a relaxed and warm sound signature, to provide a comfortable listening experience, but increased high frequency detail and accuracy over the SE315. The bass is relaxed yet present, and slightly flatter when compared to the SE215 and SE315. The treble is also relaxed, with no sibilance to better allow the instruments to fade away and allow the vocals to shine. The SE425 is therefore a good all rounder with a relaxed, mellow sound. For a stange monitor with more midrange detail, the SE535 is a good upgrade, or for a flatter, more accurate sound, have a look at the Westone UM Pro 30.
The dual driver SE425 delivers intimate vocals while offering excellent fit and isolation.
